Story and lore

Checked 2026-10-18

The official hook is one sentence: something went wrong in a cute cardboard world, and cardboard bleeds. Everything past that needs a label.

I quote the store for the hook and for Bio-Fold appearing on a monitor in a Steam screenshot. Devlog 2 (19 June 2025) is the developer talking about documents: an operation with a blacked-out name, an unknown island, a fuel site, objects from an unknown culture, Protocol 3536/3. Secondary summaries add Papertown, Bio-Fold as a company fusing flesh and cardboard, a Grand Lab, and an EP.0 ending where a Drone cuts the link to the Host. I have not watched that ending.

What nobody has answered

Who or what the Host is, how Papertown touches a human world, and why the monsters exist are listed as open even in those summaries. I am not closing them. The map UI is a separate problem on the lore map.

Questions I keep getting

Is the protagonist a child?

A secondary note says the Drone was made from a nine-year-old. That is not store copy. I am not stating it as fact.

Where is the timeline of releases?

That is the release timeline, which is about the product, not the plot.
